Recognizing with perceived feeling of commiseration on the challenges confronting people, especially those who have potential for change and there is no resources to empower them to invest in their individual enterprise of choice, strengthen their access for social and cultural development, dreams and aspirations for a better future become a mirage and as a result, subjected to unnessary and avoidable hardships, left with no hope of sustenance. This ugly situation has compelled many to engage in immoral act and die in the process with their talents that would have been useful to the society, while others are wandering without purpose and as such their needs can only be met through collaborative efforts and commitment that will assist to embark on trades that will spur lives into greater earnings, strenghten access to arts and culture as important part of the good life, educate and encourage sustainable development.
It is against this background, the need for collective efforts, working together to improve lives become a strategic imperative and this idea of working together as a way forward was conceptualised to the emergence of Cameroon Arts And Cultural Association Of Nigeria[CAACAN]. Cameroon Arts And Cultural Association of Nigeria is a two-dimension operational organization of people of common interest, committed to cultural sustainability, economic development, social progress and environmental management to provide livable,fair,commercial and financial viable outcome for the members and the less privileged who has potential for the future. This organization came into inception since 2005 and was duly registered in accordance with the act of chambers of commerce Bamenda, Cameroon, as Cameroon Arts and Cultural Association, Bamenda group, with registration number: 0233, and also in accordance with the stipulation of the Nigeria co operative society act no 90, section 5 of 1993 constitution as Cameroon Arts And Cultural Association of Nigeria, Imo-State branch, in 2014 under the ministry of commerce and industry, Imo-State Government of Nigeria with registration number : IMC 2118.

CAACAN is envisions to be the leading organization in African through developing sustainable relationships with business and organization in the field of arts and culture.

CAACAN is committed to promote the member's economic independence and social responsibility through active partnerships among themselves and with other cooperative movement, increase the accessibility of the public to arts and cultural heritage locally and abroad.
